Erotic Movie of the Week - 9 1/2 Weeks

This week is another Zalman King classic: 9 1/2 weeks. This 1986 movie starred Mickey Roarke (when he still had his original face) and Kim Basinger. When the movie was first released, it was a commercial bomb. However, videotape and cable helped make this movie into a treasured erotic classic, mainly for the sex scenes. It was also where I got my ideas about blindfolding and playing with food.

Erotic Movie of the Week - Gia

This movie, starring Angelina Jolie, is a bio-pic about the wild life and tragic death (from complication from AIDS tue to drug use) of supermodel Gia Carangi. People mainly remember this movie for the steamy sex scenes between Jolie and Elizabeth Mitchell, who played make-up artist and Gia's lover Linda.

Erotic Movie of the Week - Damage

This week's erotic movie is the 1992 drama Damage. In it, Jeremy Irons plays a married government official who has an affair with a woman he meets at a dinner party. The fact that the woman is his son's fiance doesn't stop his passion for her. Of course, this only leads to disaster but the sex scenes between Jeremy Irons and Juliette Binoche (as the fiance) drip with passion and lust.

Erotic Movie of the Week - Basic Instinct

Image by K嘛 via FlickrAfter giving you a few obscure erotic movies, I've swung back to a popular one this week: the 1992 classic Basic Instinct. This thriller starred Michael Douglas as a cop with many demons investigating Sharon Stone (in a superstar making role), who is a writer. This movie was very controversial at the time of its release; not for the sex scenes (although a couple were cut short for theatrical release) but for showing a bisexual as a sociopath. Gay activists protested outside theaters during its opening weekend and shouted out the movie's ending, in a vain attempt to get people to not see the movie. It didn't work.
The movie was box office gold. It spawned a really REALLY bad sequel many years later, along with many rip-offs; I mean, imitators. The movie still stands the test of time and has one of the most iconic scenes in movie history: Sharon Stone being interrogated while sitting in a chair in a tight white dress uncrossing her legs in front of a bunch of very horny old white guys.
I say that you don't see the original version and go for the unrated directors cut. You'll get the complete sex scenes that were cut in the theatrical version. For instance, the theatrical version opening scene where a blonde woman is stabbing her lover while having sex in bed cut the part where the blonde is riding the guy while she's stabbing him. It's erotic and disturbing at the same time. The theatrical version also cut a lot of the scene where Michael Douglas throws Jeanne Tripplehorn around and takes her up the ass, much against her will. Also, the main sex scene when Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone first have sex is a lot longer in the directors cut.

Erotic Movie of the Week - Sex and Lucia

Cover of Sex and Lucia (Unrated Edition) This week's erotic movie is the steamy 2001 movie Sex and Lucia. This award winning Spanish movie starred Paz Vega and Tristan Ulloa as lovers who are interconnected in ways they had not realized. The movie switches back and forth between past and present and is a little depressing. However, the sex scenes are so passionate, they practically rip the paint right off the walls. You can get the dvd from Netflix. It's not on their instant stream.

Erotic Movie of the Week - Jade

Cover of Jade This week's erotic movie is 1995's Jade. This William Friedkin (Exorcist, French Connection) directed thriller has an outstanding cast. It stars David Caruso (back when he thought he had a movie career) as a district attorney and Linda Fiorentino as a psychiatrist who becomes a suspect in a murder case. Of course, it involves a prostitute (don't they all). It also has Chazz Palminteri, Richard Crenna, Michael Biehn, among others. It's very sexy but then again, ANYTHING with Linda Fiorentino in it is sexy. That woman just exudes sex. For those of you with Netflix, it's on instant play.

This week's erotic movie is 2002's Y Tu Mama Tambien. This movie follows Tenoch and Julio, who go on a road trip with Luisa. What follows is a lesson on jealousy, envy, and of course, sensuality.

Erotic Movie of the Week - Room in Rome

This week's erotic movie is 2010's Room in Rome. This movie stars Elena Anaya and Natasha Yarovenko as two women who meet and end up sharing a hotel room and each other. The sex scenes are sensual and so erotic. Just the passion they exude is reason enough to watch this movie. The rest of it is good, too. Enough said.

Erotic Movie of the Week - Animals

This week's erotic movie is Animals. Actually, it's a supernatural horror / erotic thriller. It stars Nicki Aycox as a mysterious woman who entrances Marc Blucas. Soon, he starts behaving very strangely. The movie also stars Eva Amurri, who is Susan Sarandon's daughter. Normally, this wouldn't make my sexy list. However, there are 2 scenes in it that are beyond hot. One involves a counter top and the other involves a car in an alleyway. There are also a couple other scens that are good, too. Red Shoe Diaries - An Appreciation

Image via WikipediaI realized in writing this post about Red Shoe Diaries earlier in the day that I should add in more of my thoughts about the series and the man who created it: Zalman King. Zalman King was responsible for 3 of the most erotic movies ever: Wild Orchid, 9 1/2 Weeks (those 2 I'll cover in later erotic movie posts), and Red Shoe Diaries.

When I was coming out of college and just developing my sexual style, those movies, especially Red Shoes, heavily influenced me. When I first saw Red Shoes as a series on Showtime, I became obsessed and entranced. I patterned everything about my sexual being from it. It influenced the music I listen to when having sex, which is mainly music from Delerium, Enigma, and groups like that. The sexy kinky things that I do were picked up from Red Shoes; everything from blindfolds to handcuffs to whips to candles and silk gloves.
Even my thrusting style I picked up from them. Start slow, let a woman feel all of you, then pick up the pace and let it build, watching her reaction so that you can adjust your speed. Above all, make sure you last long enough so that your woman can orgasm first. Also, be open to doing anything and having things done to you, from toys to having a woman using a strap-on on me. All of that I owe to Red Shoes.
I raise my glass to Red Shoes, with a hearty thank you to both the series and to Zalman King. They truly make me into the lover that I am today.

Erotic Movie of the Week - Red Shoe Diaries

Image via Wikipedia     This week's erotic movie isn't really a movie. It's the 90s Showtime television series Red Shoe Diaries. This classic Zalman King soft porn series (Zalman King is considered a master of erotica. We'll probably do quite a few of his movies eventually) started as a single movie starring David Duchovny; a man wronged by his fiance, who has an affair and kills herself. He finds her diary, which sets him on a hunt for other women's stories so that he can better understand what happened in his own. There are many DVDs and streams on Netflix that have 3 or 4 of the television episodes on them. Plus, you'll recognize a few of the actors who guested on them. Matt Leblanc did an episode well before he started on Friends. Joan Severance was on there as well. It was a great series and yes, a movie as well. Here's the trailer:

Erotic Movie of the Week - Threesome

Cover of Threesome This week's erotic movie is Threesome. This 1994 movie starred Stephen Baldwin (before he went Charlie Sheen nuts) as a guy who liked Lara Flynn Boyle (who used to sleep with Jack Nicholson), who liked Josh Charles (who has a pretty good career going right now), who liked Stephen Baldwin (who is still Tea Party nuts). Confused? Don't be. It's a film about sexual attraction that gets so pent up, it has no choice but to come out. The last sex scene when it's the three of them is amazing.

Erotic Movie of the Week - the Dreamers

It was directed by Bernardo Bertolucci and stars Michael Pitt (Boardwalk Empire) as a student studying in Paris during the student uprisings during the 1960s. There he meets Louis Garrel and Eva Green (Casino Royale and Camelot). The 3 of them discover each other during a turbulent time.
