Cover of The LoverThis week's erotic movie is the Lover (L'Amant). The Jean-Jacques Annaud directed movie stars Jane March as an underaged French girl and Tony Leung Ka Fai as a Chinese aristocrat who is soon to be wed in an arranged marriage. They begin to have an illicit affair. The movie is beautifly shot. The plot is based on the Marguerite Duras novel and is solid. The sex scenes are erotic and beautiful. There were rumors going around at the time that the sex scenes were real. According to Jane March, they were not, as she turned 18 just before the movie started filming. The movie is actually worth watching for more than the sex scenes, though and it's streaming on Netflix.
